The Finance Department is responsible for all financial and accounting activities in the Town of Thurmont. The Finance Department maintains the financial records, policies, audits, capital improvements plans,and budgets. The Finance Department provides financial information needed for policy and administration decisions.
The Finance Department is also responsible for the generation of the Town's water, sewer and electric bills. They are responsible for the overall collection and disbursement of funds including maintaining all the financial and public records. Assistance is provided to customers in gaining access to financial information.
The Finance Department continually strives to maintain efficient, expedient assistance in a friendly and ethical way.
