Current Projects I&I Phase 1 Project Currently the Town is working on the first phase of repair work to the wastewater collection system. The contract has be awarded and is waiting for notice to proceed. This project is fully funded by the State of Maryland through a grant. The streets that will be effected are Carrol St., Palmer Alley, Benjamin Alley, Maple St., East Main Near the streets listed before, Clarke Ave., Blueridge Ave, Water St, and Frederick Rd. Work should start in early April and be finished in a few months. We will post a schedule of work when one is produced. ENR Upgrade to the WWTP Currently the Town is in the review process for an Treatment upgrade to the Town’s Wastewater Treatment Plant. This is a State mandated project and is funded majority from the State ( Flush Tax ) and a portion will be paid by the Town. The project has been bid and is in the review process now, which will take a few months. The project should start this summer. |
