General Recycling Information

County issued blue recycling bins are required for curbside service and
must be out by 6:00 a.m. on your pickup day.  Write your address on
your bin.  Call (301) 696-2960 to get a bin.

To purchase additional bins ($4.00), lids ($4.00) or carts ($10.00),
mail a check made payable to the Frederick County Treasurer
at the address listed below. Delivery may take 2-3 weeks.

No plastic bags.

Empty and rinse containers; remove caps and lids; labels are OK.
Flatten items.

Curbside paper must be in paper bags or tied in bundles.

Excess recycling can go in paper bags, laundry baskets, boxes;
but not in trash cans or plastic bags.
